It all started nearly 15 months ago.”
Some friends of ours had started a podcast, and when they started that podcast, I went, ‘Man, if they can do it, we can do it,'” Winnett said.
“And two weeks later, Josh and I were starting our first one, and we had our first episode.”
The two have already recorded 61 episodes covering all sorts of fun pieces while highlighting the stories of those in Central Texas.
“We had a friend of ours that went on Shark Tank,” Winnett said. “She’s a multimillionaire. We’ve had someone that was on, our very first guest was Louise Black and she was on Project Runway. She was our best friend’s girlfriend.”
“A lot of the guests were people we grew up with in Temple,” Peterson shared.
“A lot of our guests are out of Central Texas and people have no idea that they’re from Central Texas,” Winnett said.
People all around the world watch the podcast. It has now reached 39 countries.
Peterson and Winnett credit their success to the community that raised them.
“We’re not stopping,” Winnett said. “We’re going to keep going as long as people are listening, even if it’s three, if it’s three people and those people are listening every week, we’re going to keep doing it.”
When not podcasting, you can find Peterson in Temple. He’s going back to school for a Bachelor’s Degree. Winnett lives in the Dallas area with his wife and kids.
The pair release episodes on Mondays on all the major streaming sites.
